Yesterday’s weather was perfect! However, today’s climate here in Monroe and West Monroe is the total opposite of yesterday. It has been raining here since last night and the entire day today. Like I’ve always said, Oh my Louisiana weather! Today, it could be winter, and then the next day will be like Summertime. This sudden weather change makes a lot of people sick, you know?
Whenever the weather is like this, I honestly don’t want to go out at all. I don’t particularly like driving in the rain, and then deal with road traffic. It’s like I have a choice, well, too bad because I/we all have to deal with it sometimes. It’s part of our daily living. How about where you live? How’s the weather in your city?
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Last week, we were finally able to check the house in Branson, Missouri, that’s on the market. Sean and I had been browsing homes in Branson online, but we always come back to this one house that we checked last week. When we first saw this house posted on the market, we both looked at each other and, at the same time, said, “Oh, this house is beautiful!” We’ve been praying for this house since we saw it on the market, and we are still praying continuously for this specific house.
“When you pray for something, be specific.”
When we were at the house location, we were almost speechless. Built-in 1978, this gorgeous home is ready to move-in. Very well taken care of, and 90-95% completed. Even the basement is fully functional. It has an open space inside with lots and lots of storage cabinets — at least four bathrooms. The master bathroom size shocked us the most – it’s like another master bedroom size, golly! We fell in love with the antique vibe of this house. I think the only words that came out from my mouth the whole time were, “oh, my goodness!”And, so as Sean. Well, see what’s going to happen next. We will continue to pray and let God do the rest.
We eyeballed that house for an hour. After the house viewing, we went to the boardwalk and had fun for a little bit. It was a great day for us!
Seven hours of road trip sounds very tiring, especially when you have kids (two boys and one dog). They were good, and so behaved all the way. Even my 8-year-old didn’t take a nap at all. He was looking with all those road signs, including the distance signs on how many miles more to go to Springfield, Mo. It was a very peaceful trip — no kid’s fight at the back seat; no argument regarding their toys; and most of all, our fur-baby (dog) was such a good rider all the way. That was one good trip. We are so proud of them!♥♥♥
Hi everyone, how’s your weekend so far? I hope you are having a great week! Okay, so today we went to Poverty Point Reservoir for swimming. It’s a 45-minute drive from my town. Poverty Point Reservoir State Park is located in Delhi, Lousiana.
We got there just in time. There were only a few groups enjoying the sand and moderately warm water when we arrived. However, just 30 minutes after we arrived, an influx of people descended on the beach. All I can say is that this place is really a good choice to visit especially for swimming during the Summer since Northern Louisiana doesn’t really have sand beaches as you would expect to have if you were in Florida, Texas or any tropical island. Even with the sandy beach at Poverty Point, I was still imagining that we were on a “real” beach. Despite the lack of palm trees and warmer weather, we had a blast!
A few days ago I celebrated my birthday ( I’m getting younger, hahaha ). This time I didn’t cook anything or having my friends come over the house. Instead, Sean and I attended an event called Tech To Market. Every speaker talked about how to turn your ideas into businesses. Guess who was the most awaited speaker of the night? It was Stephen Key! He is an award-winning inventor and entrepreneur who has licensed more than 20 products. It was a great night. After the event, we played checkers and had a little drink. I had orange juice by the way just so you know. And oh, I won more games than Sean did, hahaha!! After that, we decided to order something (well, it’s food). By 11 p.m we just crashed out to sleep since we couldn’t go anywhere because our ride was in the neighboring parking garage and it was already closed. Anyway, we had a great time.
If you’re a fitness junkie just so you know that this hotel includes a fully equipped fitness center. An in-house esthetician and massage therapist. Not just that, this hotel also has an indoor heated saltwater pool and many other amenities. You can also take advantage of enjoying their soft signature bathrobes while you relax in one of their all-suite rooms. Talking about the bathrobes, oh my goodness, it’s the most comfortable bathrobe I have ever worn so far. I went to bed in it and honestly, I didn’t need the comforter or sheets. I’m 4 foot and 11 inches tall so the robe was actually perfect for me. I was fully wrapped from my shoulders down to my tiptoes, hahaha. Funny, right? But, anyway I loved their robe!
