Review: 2Dudes Brew & Que Barbecue Restaurant in Monroe

I can’t believe we haven’t been to this restaurant before because this place is incredible! This place is very clean. The food was tasty, and the service was outstanding. This place is by far the only restaurant (from all the restaurants we dined in) in the Twin Cities that has the best sausage, in my opinion. Their menu prices are very affordable, as well. I’m so glad Sean was able to find this place while randomly searching for restaurants in Monroe. We had a great time, and the food we ordered was fantastic! If you haven’t been to this place yet, be sure to give them a visit. The only thing I don’t like is the parking space. We had to park a little farther. However, if you don’t mind walking for a little bit, then it shouldn’t be a big deal. So, go ahead and visit this restaurant. ♥♥♥

Rigatoni Pasta & Chocolate Covered Strawberries

One time Sean told me that their workplace cafeteria was being upgraded. Yesterday, he brought me some delicious Pasta and chocolate covered strawberries. I was getting ready ( to go watch a movie with him ) when he was telling me about the food. I went to the kitchen and checked it out. My goodness, they looked so good! Before even thinking about eating them, I first needed to take pictures of them. As a photographer, I can’t help it. They looked so good and my eyes were happier to indulge than my mouth wanting to eat them. Sounds funny? Hey, I think if you are a blogger and photographer you do the same. Hahahaha….

Saturday Life Begins After Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls

//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Good Saturday morning all! How’s everybody doing? About me and my family, we have no outdoor plans today. It has been bitter cold since yesterday. Luckily, it’s not snowing here in the Twin Cities. However, no outdoor plans don’t mean I don’t have indoor plans. I plan on doing some still life photography after lunch and make some easy DIY projects. For now, just enjoying a cup of hot coffee and cinnamon rolls. I always get this Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls With Icing 8 Counts at Walmart. By the way, this is one of my most favorite coffee mug ever! I got this mug from Target. I’m wanting to get 3 more of this but sadly I don’t see it in the store anymore. I hyperlinked another mug that looks just like this but has a different quote on it.

A cup of coffee.
Coffee and cinnamon rolls.

Also, this might sound really funny to you, but to be honest this is my best-baked cinnamon rolls ever! I know how easy it is to bake cinnamon rolls, but whenever I baked cinnamon rolls I always burned them, hahahahahaha, but it is true! Today, I’m proud of myself for having what I called “perfect baked cinnamon rolls”. Doesn’t this cinnamon rolls look so yummy? You all have a wonderful day. Stay warm and cozy!

Filipino Style Breakfast

Lately, I’ve been craving Filipino Food (Filipino Cooking). I feel like I don’t have the appetite of eating Non-Filipino food. I’m sure there’s a lot of you out there who can relate to this. It’s not just the Filipinos but also other races. We always crave for our cultural food. Just to be honest, I crave for it every single day. I had some friends who asked me about how many times I eat rice on a daily basis? Ahhhhhhh, my answer would be “three times a day”. There are also days that I missed eating rice, but I feel incomplete. Look, food is part of our culture. Just like rice is part of my culture. As a Filipino, it’s hard to have a meal without rice. I’m just being honest.

It’s not like every day though that I cook Filipino food. My children are Filipino-American (Half Filipino-Half American or FIL-AM), and they are very picky. My youngest one is not as picky as my Eldest one. However, he likes to copy his big brother. I’m sure all moms know what I mean. They eat rice and sausages but not the egg. I love eggs!

We just don’t make eggs, sausages and rice for breakfast though. It really depends on the person. Growing up, living in the province with my family, we barely had sausages before. Eggs, rice and fish are the common basic breakfast. I miss those days! And yes, we Filipinos eat rice three times a day. We love rice!

Southern Style Cuisine: Cheniere Shack Restaurant

Friday night, Sean took me to this seafood restaurant called Cheniere Shack Restaurant. I’ve heard about the place but never been there. This restaurant is a place of Southern Style Cuisine with Cajun Twist. I could say we were so lucky to get there in time. A few minutes after we got seated, diners were flooding in. I was so amazed at how fast the place filled with diners. This restaurant is located in West Monroe, Louisiana. They are open Monday-Saturday. So, if you’re planning to dine there on Sunday, no they’re not open on Sundays. We actually went there today after church, that’s how we found out that they’re not open on Sundays.

Coleslaw with crackers

Their coleslaw is not overly flavored and not under flavored. For me, it’s perfect!
