Hobby Lobby Deals Alert

I’ve been really busy since this morning. Today was the first day of school. Thankfully my boys didn’t have any hard time waking up early this morning because to them it doesn’t matter if it’s either school days or non-school days they’re always awake around six in the morning. Even during their whole Summer vacation it still seemed like school days for me because of their early rise routine. Unbelievable? But yes it’s the truth.

When I got back home after dropping my kids off at their school this morning I rested for a while and had a cup of coffee. Then I prepared lunch for my kids. By 11 in the morning, I drove back to their school and drop their lunch at the front desk. I felt like a busy bee flying around. Hahaha

I drove back home again and multitasked for a while. I was doing laundry, eating lunch and having plenty of thoughts racing through my mind. After having my lunch, I decided to edit some photos on my computer while waiting for the laundry to get done. When all of a sudden an idea came to my head…..DING! I’m guessing you know what’s the idea on my head already.

I went to my favorite store, HOBBY LOBBY. I was thinking, there are so many merchandises on 50% off, what should I purchase? Haha. Yay, these are my favorite kind of deals. I took a few photos to share with you guys. Hobby Lobby not only has a 50% off deal but also a 40% off deal. And if you like buying Christmas decor early they have them out now.

I love throw pillows. Sometimes when I go to the store to look for throw pillows that I like I get disappointed because they’re pricy! One day, I was sitting on the couch and this idea of making throw pillows just flew into my head. So I was like “why not? I always have this confidence that I can do it. I’m a seamstress’ daughter and if my mom can do it, I can too! Sounds funny right? But yes, I’m determined. So, the next day I went to get some materials at Hobby Lobby.

This 12 ounce Premium Polyester Fiberfill is only $2.99 per package. One package is enough for one throw pillow. It depends on your preferences though. If you want your throw pillow to be fuller (more stuffy as I call it haha) then you can always add more stuffing inside.

Premium Polyester Fiberfill is absolutely the best performing fiberfill for pillows, dolls, stuffed toys and crafts. It offers a superior resiliency, smooth consistency, and will not bunch. It’s made from recycled materials, and it is hypoallergenic and machine-washable. Add it to toys, pillows, and much more!

I used two bandanas for each throw pillow. This bandana cost 0.99 cents only! Although you can use any material you choose. There are more expensive materials to choose if you want. For me, I just wanted to make something using inexpensive materials.

Perfect for sewing, scrapbooking, upholstery, and so much more, this 100% cotton country-style bandana is a great canvas for your creativity–as well as a comfortable and stylish scarf or headband.

Step 1: Put two bandanas together. Make sure each side is facing the opposite side.

Step 2: Sew each side all the way around all 3 sides leaving the 4th side open so that you can insert the filling (I call it the fluffy stuffy)

Step 3: Insert the filling to your desired thickness and firmness. Once all done, sew that last side closed to secure all that filling from coming out. Whaalahhhh….you’re done!

Coat Racks:Hobby Lobby Finds

Having two little boys, I find myself struggling to keep them from throwing their coats everywhere. Especially this winter season. Of course, the rule is to have them hang their coats right on their closet door knobs when they’re not using or done using their coats. But, hello? Does it work? The answer is No! I always get disappointed to see their coats on the floor. In my mind, there’s gotta be a solution for this.

On new year’s day, I went to my favorite store Hobby Lobby to look for greats deals. I’m talking about the markdowns after Christmas. Yes, a lot of markdowns and I was hyped up with the 75% – 80% off deals. Oh, I know a lot of moms out there can relate with my excitement. Fortunately, I also found a wooden coat rack. Lucky me to be able to get the three racks left. I couldn’t wait to have them installed in my boys room and in our bedroom as well. I would say it works!

I love the color of it and it goes well with the wall color. It’s perfect! Plus, my boys liked it. Until next time and have a good night!
