Christmas Mini Session With My Dear Friend and Her Daughter.

Hi all, I have been MIA for days on my blog. I had been a busy and exhausted mom for days. School is out for Thanksgiving break, and you (parent/parents) know what that means. My boys are like “mommy, mommy, mommy all day long.” Especially my little one, he can talk all day long for sure. The only time I have a break from them is when they are napping and when they are in bed at night, hehe. But I love them to the moon and back.

Anyway, last Saturday, I had so much fun capturing my dear friend and her daughter’s Christmas mini session. You can check this session here. The location I chose was the Dilliard’s store. It was a perfect location for this session. Dilliard’s has a wide variety of lovely Christmas decorations throughout their store. It was just perfect!

Check out my photography page and let me know what you think.

Have you ever heard of the Nygard brand? I’m wearing Nygard denim pants. When it comes to pants, I have been a Nygard’s biggest fan for 4 years now. I love every Nygard leggings and pants that I have. So worth the price! You should try this brand. I highly recommend this brand.

The photographer must pose too, lol!

HELEN’S DELICIOUSLY SAVOURY SIOPAO WITH PORK FILLING (Steam Bun With Pork Filling)

Good Wednesday morning, everyone! How’s your Wednesday morning going so far? This morning, I’m thankful I rechecked my work schedule. Somehow, I kept thinking that I have to work this morning, but when I rechecked my schedule, I was like, “oh gosh, I’m closing again.” However, that’s what we call #itslife ☺

At this moment, right now, I am just going to enjoy another Siopao that I bought from my friend (Steam Bun with Pork Filling) to go with my morning coffee. I bought one dozen of it, and if you’re an Asian like me, a dozen steam bun really won’t last long, hehe. Shoutout to my friend, Helen. She did a great job! I will definitely buy SIOPAO from her again ☺.

If you want to order, don’t hesitate to send her a message (◄◄).

I NEED TO LAUGH: Today’s Funniest Quote Picks

Who else wants to laugh? I need it this morning. You want to know why? Well, if you are a mother who has little boys that do not get along with each other well, you probably understand why I need to laugh this very early morning. Getting up early to have them ready for school, fix them breakfast, and give them their school money to buy a snack and drink during recess time, however, when asking them one thing (and I mean one thing only), they wouldn’t listen without complaining first. Seriously? I remember growing up; I didn’t complain much like my kids now. Growing up, my parents and grandparents always reminded us of the words “obey first before you complain.” Most kids nowadays like to complain first before obeying. I don’t say that it happens every day, not it doesn’t. However, when it happens, it’s almost too much!

After I dropped them at their school, I was talking to my self while driving back home. I was telling myself that I need to laugh. I need something that will make me laugh to brighten up my morning. So, when I got home, I looked up for the funniest quotes online. There’s a lot of funny quotes I read, but these quotes below are the most hilarious. It worked! I laughed, and it lightens up my mood. I hope these quotes will make you laugh, as well. Have a beautiful and blessed day!

5 Thrift Store Shopping Tips

Shopping at a thrift store or in short “thrifting” is not for everybody. Some people don’t even wanna hear the word “thrift store”. Some people loves it. I’m one of those people who love thrift stores. Every time I shops at a thrift store I always get out with a very big smile, and always proud with the stuff I found. Just don’t be afraid to dig and get your hands dusty/dirty.

Below, I’m gonna share with you my shopping tips before I go to any thrift store.

Ain’t this vest so cute?

START WITH A PLAN

Don’t just go to a thrift store or even in any other store without a plan. Think about what you want to look for. Be specific and write it down. I have to write down stuff all the time otherwise I forget. Yes, I’m that forgetful (sounds awful right?). One of my biggest for writing down what I want is to have a guide also. I love vintage stuff. Honestly, they’re like candies to me. But having a guide or note I can actually focus and prioritize what’s on my list.

BE READY TO GET YOUR HANDS DUSTY/DIRTY

To those who hasn’t been to a thrift store, get ready. Sometimes the dust can be overwhelming. Some thrift stores ain’t that dusty, but some are, just saying. If you’re not willing to get your hands dusty or dirty, then you should stick to shopping at the mall or a boutique.

TAKE YOUR TIME

Thrift store can be overwhelming. I spend an hour or two every time I’m thrifting. So, before you even go thrifting, make sure that you have plenty of time to spare for it. No need to rush, there’s no fun thrifting if you’re rushing. You might miss a diamond somewhere because you’re rushing and don’t wanna look around, hahaha. There’s plenty of great stuff or great deals at any thrift store that’s worth checking out. Time, time, time….because baby, all you need is time.

CHECK YOUR PICKS

Once you found the stuff from your list don’t get too excited. One thing you should do first before you even check out is to check your items. Make sure there’s no holes, ripped stitches, or stains. Ripped stitches ain’t that bad if you can sew then great! I can’t stand stains so I always check my picks not just once just to be sure.

ALWAYS THANK THE PERSON AT THE REGISTER WHEN CHECKING OUT

Before leaving the store, always thank the person at the register with the great deals you have found. Everyone loves to hear that. It lighten up someone’s day.

A Pop Of Pink Flowy Dress In Winter

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I’m not a winter person. I really can’t stand cold. Even though I have been living in the United States for ten years, but I’m still a tropical person. However, I maybe don’t like the cold weather, but I love the winter fashion looks – from the boots, scarves, cardigans, coats and head caps.

I’m loving this High Neck Flowy Dress. The material is so soft and cool to my skin which I love the most. The fact that I can also wear this style in spring time is an additional points for me. The size I’m wearing here is extra-small. However, if you wear extra-small size you probably should get the “small” size. The extra-small size shoulder width is a little bit narrow. Not so much though, just a little bit.

ABOUT THE COLOR?

As a matter of fact, I was not a “pink color” fan, but that has changed after I got this dress. I realized that the pink color looks good on my skin. So, yay!! I’m pleased with that. I love that the style and the color of this dress go really with my furry scarf (the one I’m wearing here is sold out so I’m linking a similar one ), tan high heel boots, and this cute Brahmin crossbody bag ( this style is also sold out, I’m linking similar one here ).

Winter Fashion style.

Custom Designs: Floral Wrapping Papers

How do you like wrapping a present for someone? What designs do you choose for a wrapper? For now, I’m gonna share with you my 10 picks of the day wrapping papers. I have friends who are having birthdays. Most of them are not pretty much soon, but that is one of the things I need to make it up this year. I am so forgetful. My friends and workmates used to laugh at me because I think for them it’s quite funny how I forget things that quick. To be honest, I had this problem since after I gave birth to my first child. I literally couldn’t remember my birthday and other things. I’ll talk about it some other time.

Anyway, last year, I was working in a retail job. You know working in retail is not like go to work and don’t do anything. It’s not like that at all, especially at my work. Not to mention the place, but all of us ( my workmates – including me ) had to work hard. Lifting boxes, climbing on the ladder, and etc. That time, I really forgot some of my friends birthdays. That’s why this year, I will try my very best to be prepared, starting from finding a nice gift wrapper. For most people, gift wrapper is not the most important thing when giving gifts which I totally agree. However, that will be part of my preparation for this year. It’s fun to do something a little different, don’t you think? Something that makes your gift more special because of the effort you will put into it before giving it to someone special – friends and families.

  1. Graceful

2. Vibrant Peacock Tail

3. Snowflakes

4. Sparkly Silver Snowflakes

5. Pink Rose Blue Hydrangea

6. Hand Painted Floral Pattern

7. Vivid Floral

8. Carnations

9. Romantic Pink

10. Bohemian Pink

I hope you’ll like the designs above. Each of the Zazzle artists above have plenty of other beautiful designs to choose from. Feel free to check them out!

Dollar Tree Day:Dollar Tree Finds

Good Monday to all! How was your weekend? Hope you had a great weekend. About me and my family, yes we had a great weekend. Today is Monday January 7th and my boys are back to school. Oh gosh, I didn’t want to get up early. I’m a night owl person not an early bird. It’s all good though, that’s life!

I have a question, how many of you like going to Dollar Tree store? I do love Dollar Tree. I go there three times a week or sometimes more. There’s so much merchandise that I love from that store.

My boys are in school so I decided to go and get something from Dollar Tree. However, I did not get a lot today. Just a few of my favorite things to pick up every time when I’m there, it’s candles and chocolates! LOL. Not just candles and chocolates for today though. I luckily found these notebooks that say “LITTLE, BUT FIERCE and GIRL BOSS”. I love it, love it, love it! I think I got them on time before it was all gone. These are the last two notebooks left.

Little, But FIERCE

Not only that I like this notebook, but I love what it says. It’s so me! Hey, I’m 4″11, everyone calls me tiny, little, skinny and whatever. Yes I’m little, but I’m fierce!

Russell Stover Chocolates & Cookies

Here comes my weakness! I usually get 4 or 5 packs of this coconut flavored Russell Stover chocolate. Guess what? It didn’t stay for long and now I’m hyped. It’s that good!

Until next time and I really appreciate you for reading this blog. Have a wonderful day to all and God bless you!

Lazy Day Thursday+Thrift Store Treasures

Good morning ya’ll. What are you up to today? To all who are working today I hope you will have a successfull and wonderful day at work. As of today, my boys are still out of school. They will be back on the 7th of January which is this coming Monday. Right now, we can’t really do much outdoors because of the rain. It has been raining since last Tuesday. It’s quite nasty outside.

Today, we’re just gonna be on our pajamas all day. Read books. Helping my eldest son study for his upcoming spelling bee contest on January 16th. Well, you know that doesn’t come really easy. I know other moms know that there will be tantrums, stubbornness and the selective hearing moment when teaching your kid. In moment like this, all I need is PATIENCE….PATIENCE…PATIENCE.

However, when that part is done, it will be time to light some candles and just relax. Who doesn’t want to relax? I need it so bad! I have been working…working…working. So many times I feel so guilty of having limited time with my little ones. Last month, I resigned my job not because I don’t wanna work anymore. I had sever back pain throughout those years while working that nobody would understand the pain I had and the struggle of striving to look painless, to smile, to walk like I didn’t feel any pain. It’s a challenge doing that on a daily basis. Right now, going to the chiropractor helps me feeling better. I’m almost there. I’m grateful! For a long time, I don’t even know how it feels like when you don’t have severe pain.

Anyway, I probably blah..blah..blah..too much. Before I’ll end up today’s blog, I wanna share something with you quick. One thing I really love to do is going to a thrift store. Who else like to go to a thrift store? Can’t be just me, lol. The stuff I have in these images below are from a thrift store. The candle holders were $1.50. The books were $0.25 each. They’re not just books for decorations or photography props, but for me I love these books. Max Lucado is my favorite author. I also love reading inspirational books. The transparent glass is from Dollar Tree. The dog is not from the thrift store or dollar tree hahaha just kidding. That’s our sweet dog Daisy. She is so adorable!

I hope that you will have a beautiful day and until next time!

Love,

Ester

Coat Racks:Hobby Lobby Finds

Having two little boys, I find myself struggling to keep them from throwing their coats everywhere. Especially this winter season. Of course, the rule is to have them hang their coats right on their closet door knobs when they’re not using or done using their coats. But, hello? Does it work? The answer is No! I always get disappointed to see their coats on the floor. In my mind, there’s gotta be a solution for this.

On new year’s day, I went to my favorite store Hobby Lobby to look for greats deals. I’m talking about the markdowns after Christmas. Yes, a lot of markdowns and I was hyped up with the 75% – 80% off deals. Oh, I know a lot of moms out there can relate with my excitement. Fortunately, I also found a wooden coat rack. Lucky me to be able to get the three racks left. I couldn’t wait to have them installed in my boys room and in our bedroom as well. I would say it works!

I love the color of it and it goes well with the wall color. It’s perfect! Plus, my boys liked it. Until next time and have a good night!
